2,212 Young readers awarded in Rajshahi
A total of 2,212 students from 51 schools in Rajshahi City received prizes for their laudable performance in book reading on Friday. They received the prizes in a colorful Prize Giving Ceremony held at the Shilpakala Academy auditorium on 10 May 2024.
BSK, under its Book Reading Program, organized the program supported by Grameenphone to give away prizes to the students who show their good performance in the evaluation phase where more than 6,000 students took part.

You are all aware of our ambitious climate target: a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030 compared to 2019 levels. Most of our carbon footprint comes from electricity consumption, which is why we are advocating for a shift to renewable energy.
With a passionate goal of preparing youth for 'Future Ready Bangladesh', Grameenphone CEO Yasir Azman took a masterclass for SUST students at the campus premise. Grameenphone Academy cocreated the session along with Sylhet Circle and 'Pothe pothe' team.
The interactive session was touched on diverse influence of AI, sustainable leadership and the empathetic role of both AI and a Leader. His remarkable tips include - 'Follow your passion, Be genuine' and his recent lesson from a young influencer from Bolorumpur 'Nobody is a mistake. Everyone has a role to play'
Traveling across Bangladesh, from tea gardens to fishermen villages or tribal villages to Rishi community, we are conducting training sessions in full swing every day. Imagine, training getting rolled out in 19 districts, specifically 147 Upazilas or 1371 Union.
Each learned skill, from turning on a phone to making a call, or staying safe online to knowledge on E-commerce or MFS represents not just technology but empowerment for these 8 vulnerable communities.
The 20-year long partnership continues with Bishwo Shahitto Kendro (BSK). On 21 April 2024, we signed an agreement to support BSK in their Book Reading Programme that aims to stimulate habit of reading amongst millions of children with the ambition to nurture a thoughtful future generation. Grameenphone have been supporting Bishwo Shahitto Kendro since 2004 in different capacity to support the cause. We are delighted to continue the journey to inspire children form the habit of reading books.
