Grameenphone continues to reinforce its commitment to innovation and social impact by empowering the youth of Bangladesh with future-ready skills. In a significant step toward this vision, the Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) division recently hosted a high-impact roundtable titled “Skills for a Sustainable Future.” The event convened a dynamic mix of development partners, consulting experts, EdTech and AgriTech leaders, and students to explore the evolving landscape of employability in Bangladesh.
The roundtable focused on identifying priority industry areas for the next five years, aligned with emerging economic opportunities. Participants engaged in robust discussions around the technical and soft skills essential for future employment, spanning both formal and informal sectors. Key themes included the growing relevance of artificial intelligence, blockchain, and other emerging technologies, alongside vocational and life skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, adaptability, and leadership.
This initiative exemplified the ESG team’s core behavior of “Always Explore,” fostering cross-sector collaboration and generating actionable insights to inform skill development strategies for 2026–2030. By facilitating forward-looking dialogue and strategic partnerships, Grameenphone aims to help Bangladesh harness its demographic dividend, boost global competitiveness, and accelerate inclusive economic growth.
